Chic holiday outfits for every budget (that aren’t just green & red)

I can’t believe we’re already chatting about holiday looks, and Halloween was a hot minute ago.  But truth be told, I’m kind of excited and really wouldn’t want it any other way.

I love the holidays for so many reasons, but first and foremost I LOVE all the excuses to get together with those I love and celebrate.  Everything from Christmas Eve dinner (which growing up was always my favorite day of the year ….and how I think I first fell in love with cooking and entertaining), to champagne lunches with friends.  JP’s office party to my kid’s class parties and everything in between.  There seems to be something on the calendar all the time – and while I may be completely exhausted by 12/26, I wouldn’t’ want it any other way.

My only struggle was that for years, I felt like I never knew what to wear and always waited until the last minute.  But not this year, my friends.  This year I’m ahead of my game and ordering a few new things now so I’ll have easy, effortless outfits to put together that I feel great in (because let’s be honest, over the holidays there are plenty of other things to worry about than your outfits 😉

I put together a quick round-up of some of my favorite holiday looks.  I tried to give you a range of prices and looks, from easy wearable pants to silk skirts and sequin dresses.  And most importantly, things that you can wear again!  I’m all about red and green, but when it comes to my clothes, I need them to be a little more versatile than one month a year, so I focused on chic looks that you could wear for ANY holiday and ANY occasion.  From Hanukkah dinner to a girl’s night out.  Versatile pieces you’ll wear again.

I’ll also add that a lot of things aren’t on sale YET – but I have no doubt that many of them will be soon.  So keep this post tucked away if you’re not ready to buy anything just yet.  I promise you there are good deals to be had and I’ll share them with you as I see them.

Ok let’s jump in…..

This is a sweater I own and wear all the time.  It’s great for casual with trousers or would be gorgeous paired with the white satin skirt (I LOVE white on white) below or silk Jcrew pants for an easy effortless look

No. 17

Anthropologie, Romy lace top, $88

No. 18

Jcrew, wide-leg trousers, $88 (currently an additional 35% off)

No. 19

Jcrew, drapey cargo pants, $120 (with an additional 35% off)

Would be gorgeous with a short sequin top or the fuzzy white sweater

No. 20

Nordstroms, ATM satin wide-leg pants, $350

I absolutely LOVE these pants.  If you’re tall these are your dream pants.  I will also add that there are very few items of clothing I “invest” in, but a good pair of trousers like this is at the top of my list.  Pants like this are classic and will ALWAYS be in style.  A good piece to make an investment in.

No. 21

H&M, wide-leg pants, $39.99

A GREAT option if you’re not ready to invest in something more.  For reference, I’m 6″1, and these ran a tad short on me.

No. 22

H&M, white satin skirt, $29

I absolutely love winter whites, and this is done so well.  This shirt would be gorgeous all winter long dressed up or down.

Wow, that was a long one, friends (sorry, they won’t always be this jam-packed).  But lots of fun stuff in there.  There are definitely going to be lots of great sales coming up on almost all of these items, so I’ll be sure to keep you posted as I see them.  But in the meantime, I hope this got you thinking about some fun, easy looks for you next holiday gathering.

I’m off to my first official holiday event on Sunday with my girl Shannon (from “House of Shan“) and I can’t wait.  Now to decide on what to wear……

Have a great weekend and I’ll see you all on Monday!

xoxo
